Kitchen: Cleaning Tips

The kitchen, the place where all food is cooked must be kept clean at all times. This cannot be stressed enough; a dirty kitchen can be the cause of food poisoning if the cleanliness of the kitchen is not maintained properly!

– Before you start, remember to dust every surface of your items!

– Start your deep cleaning with your sink first. We recommend to use a mixture of dishwashing liquid and hot water to wipe out stains and dirt on your sink. For this, dip a sponge into the solution and wipe your sink with it. Alternatively, you may use a spray degreaser to clean your sink.

– For stoves, remove burner caps, control knobs and grates and place them in a sink with hot water. Leave the sink to do its work, while you scrape off food bits and dirt by using a scraper or even a toothbrush. Next, take a wet sponge and wipe the stove. Once done, wipe the rest of the items back in the sink.

– Time to move on to the refrigerator. Start out by clearing all your items in the fridge, even moldy food too. Make sure to take out removable drawers and shelves, then place them at one place. Next, use a wet towel (warning: use hot water! Cold water can easily cause cold glass to crack.) and proceed to wipe the interior of the fridge. Be sure to wipe even the corners and bottom crevices of the fridge; that’s where spills are most likely to occur. You can now place your items back in the fridge!
